Buffalo, NY -- Militant anti-abortion groups in the United States are increasingly dissatisfied with the limited success of their ongoing campaign of terror, violence and murder. They are exploring new ways to raise the death toll of adults to protect the "unborn."
Most recently, anonymous warnings told of a new hunting policy: All women capable of conception who have not accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour are now declared targets. The modest proposal is characterized as a logical extension of present efforts to exterminate practitioners and advocates of women's choice for their own reproductive health.
Targetted women are considered to be high-risk mothers for whom choice is a viable option. Although only some may choose abortion, the risk is high enough to justify preventive execution of these potential killers. Even those who would choose birth would not instill in their children proper faith, and this likely blasphemy further justifies the wide scope.
Current Efforts Unsatisfactory
Currently, a hit list of doctors, clinic workers, judges and politicians -- including the President and Vice President -- appears on a web page entitled "Abortionists on Trial," but only sixteen names are greyed out as wounded, and a mere eight names are struck through as fatalities.
The most recent kill was Dr. Barnett Slepian, 51, murdered in front of his family with a single shot through the kitchen window of his home near Buffalo, New York, on October 23rd. Police have no suspects in the murder, which is being investigated jointly by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), and state, provincial and local authorities.
Despite this and similar examples of righteous marksmanship, pro-life militants have become despondent at the low number of victims and blame the limited numbers of available targets. Historically, such dissatisfaction signals a new offensive, as the rhetoric that preceded current violence demonstrates.
"During the last twenty five years an orderly series of political resistance activities have occurred and the response of the American people has proven that the great majority of citizens -- Christian and pagan alike -- are willing to see The Creator's Rights totally obliterated as long as their lusts and personal agendas are satisfied."
So says Neal Horsley, candidate for Governor of the State of Georgia, leader of the Creator's Rights Party and advocate of secession from the United States by nuclear war.
New, Moderate Campaign
Reaction to the nuclear civil war goal has been lukewarm because it is perceived as too extreme. The new strategy, billed as kill the unmothers before they kill the unborn, is an appeal to moderate supporters still unconvinced that the nuclear option is appropriate. Peaceful options were summarily rejected.
According to Horsley, "If you call yourself a Christian and are unwilling to support this or any project designed to stop the slaughter of God's children, somebody needs to tell you that you blaspheme the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and are a carnal, fleshly, devilish impostor utterly deceived by Satan himself into believing you deserve the right to claim the benefits that come to a Christian when you live your life as an unrepentant collaborator."
There is no concern about the enormity of the task pro-life assassins have accepted upon themselves. In fact, Horsley thinks brave ambush warriors should revel in the newly sanctioned freedom to focus their rifle sights and pipe bombs on vast numbers of people.
"The majority of citizens in the United States of America are the enemies of the God of the Bible! Whether they go by the name of Christian, Jew, Muslim, pagan, atheist, Democrat, Republican or whatever, they're all the same! Hasn't the day come when those who seek to do the Will of God must face the fact that it is the majority itself that is reprobate in this nation?"
His followers agree that it's time to increase the offensiveness of their efforts, but many observers doubt that is possible.
